4. TERRITORY WE'VE COVERED

Maybe I was bitten by the move-around-a-lot bug as a child or something, as we seem to have covered a fair bit of territory over the years. Since returning from my mission in Europe and marriage to my sweetheart, we've attended university in Calgary, at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and in Edmonton, Alberta.

Employment took us to Calgary, then over to Regina in Saskatchewan, to Cardston back in Alberta, to Idaho Falls down in Idaho, then over here to Tacoma. Jobs included setting up a Student Counselling Department at SAIT, then over to Regina to become Saskatchewan Regional Health Educator for the Canadian government's Indian Health Services, and later Director of Education for the Saskatchewan Hospital Association.

Then I kinda gave up on bureaucracies and set out on my own, over the years owning laundromats, commercial real estate, ice-cream parlors, print shops, antique and health food stores, a delivery business, landscaping and finally a sign business, which I still dabble at. I guess an appropriate title would be "Incurable Entrepreneur!" But we raised eight kids and they all know how to work!
